Where to buy/get pipe organ scores for film music?

    Hey there,

I am desperately looking for organ scores of a piece out of the Star Wars movies. I am looking for the throne room theme at the end of the episode IV. It is composed by Williams and it is a beautiful march.

Does anybody know where I can buy/get the scores from?

Thank you so much in advance.

I would guess you have to get the score for piano and then arrange it for organ. I found this to be true for Broadway scores,Opera scores etc etc also. You can listen to it over and over and then play it from there if your ear is so inclined as most are not written down for organ unless an arrangement has been done. In my concert days ( did pop/theater organ also) I made many arrangements from piano and ear scoring..so you can do it too.Check with your local music store. online music services etc. Good Luck

Well, an excellent score is the organ transcription of Holst's "The Planets" by Peter Sykes. It'll do extremely well for any sci-fi Intergalactic flick...

Check out www.wayneleupold.com for that score.

Mind you, many theatre organists do improvise music for films.
