    Oink Oink

I have just taken 2 sultana scones, cut them in half, on each half I thickly spread butter, followed by strawberry jam with whole strawberries in it, also thickly spread, topped by a further thick layer of extra thick cream (spread cos its too thick to pour). Now finishing my snack with some Amorretti Italian biscuits made with apricot kernels instead of almonds. All washed down with coffee

Tomorrow will repeat substituting raspberry or apricot jam for the strawberry.

Hang the sugar and cholesterol, dunno how this will affect my life expectancy, but what there is left of it I might as well enjoy to the full. (burp)

What else do I like that's not supposed to be good for me, how about suet dumplings in me stews and casseroles, spotted dick (a suet pudding with currants and sultanas rolled in a cloth and steamed for 2 or 3 hours) treacle tart and treacle sponge puddings, apple or plum pies or crumbles and just plain cooked fruit all desserts with custard, cream or both. Not forgetting sweets, chocolate and cakes. Surprisingly however I am slowly losing weight.
    Cheers MIKE.

Never fancied them, mother used to make one occasionally but they're not on my preferred list, same with bread pudding (sinkers) NAAFI finally killed them off for me, should have called them lead pudding!

All I can say Mike is as long as you enjoyed it all, then why worry. Of course doing this too often is not good for your health, but hey, you must treat yourself sometimes.

Well I've got 2 more scones for tomorrow and 6 more in the freezer, the cream has a use by date of Jul 1st so I can see the other 6 scones coming out of the freezer.

My blood sugars rose 100 points just reading Mike's original post ...

Sounds delightful though ... except for the butter which I don't do.

    Try this -
Two slices of white bread, well buttered
1 bar of dark choclate (Bourneville)
    Make sandwich
    EAT

It would would be catastrophically disastrous if one would be smitten by diabetes by just reading about the concoctions proffered by mike and teddy...

For chocolate it has to be white chocolate with strawberry crisp, or chocolate covered raisins.

    Dear Kh,

Please, please, please be careful of what you say...We are many who support your efforts in keeping MIMF the excellent place that it is. An MIMF without Kh would be hard to imagine.

I can see I'll need to put a Krummhorn beware label on this sort of thread
