    Copycat vandalism?

I've noticed in the local paper that when they report vandalism (usually with pics and sensationalism) that it's not long before a crop of similar acts occur in different parts of the town. To my mind the p*ss heads and numpties jump on any destructive band wagon.

Recently heath fires, car paint scratches, wing mirrors ripped off as well as a few stabbings have featured, I guess next week will be smashed headlights, gate posts uprooted or walls pushed over, tyres slashed or some similar acts.

Does the membership think that less or no puiblicity might stop some of the copycats?

    Discuss.
    Cheers MIKE.

Its possible Mike, but with farcebook etc these things would probably be well advertised, with pictures as well, so the little ******** can boast about it. At least if its in the paper people are forewarned. Maybe CD could arrange a shipment of Glocks for us?

    Sorry,

No Glocks arranged for shipment as I have no more contact with A.Q. Khan

Seriously, I'd love to catch one of those marauders and start to cut off their hands at the wrists and feed the bodypart to a tank of piranhas.

Just chuck them straight in the tank CD. You could have a competition with your friends. Pick a ******* each and place bets. Which one will stop screaming first. Which one will lose his wobbly bits first etc etc. Hours of fun.

Its better for them to have a constant reminder of what happens when they smash, slash, and do other mayhem.

I think that the news media "plays up" these items too much ... they get hold of a story and print it 20 ways from Tuesday and constantly shove it in our faces ad-nauseum. It gets so much publicity that others then have to "match" the crime in order to see who actually gets more coverage ... it becomes a game.

I don't subscribe to any newspaper nor do I watch the news on TV just for that reason ... everything is death and destruction these days ... very boring, but I supposed for the editors it sells copy and keeps them employed. Whatever happened to happy news ... it gets covered in two sentences on page 14 somewhere.

I do blame the media for way too much "hype" on issues ... it seems that every time Lindsay or Justin sneeze, it makes national headlines. They are people just like you and me - we all take our pants off one leg at a time, eat the same basic foods, buy the same petrol and other necessities of life.

There are now people walking this earth who are not like you and me,
people who grew up playing computer games, programming their brain with ultra-violence.
American authorities are saying a recent first-time serial shooter had such good aim,
making head shots, because of his computer experience.
Considering the American military makes war planes and boats operate like computer games,
it's not just a question of who is watching over your shoulder, it's who is watching you from their overhead feed.

Socialogists now say that most first nation citizens not only have lost their feel for the land, for nature,
they've lost whatever mechanical abilities they used to have, modern technology being beyond ordinary repair.

Latest reported is poisoning cats with antifreeze, as though shooting them with air guns wasn't enough.

Cats die a horrible death, dogs too, from antifreeze.
I see Dorsetmike is from the UK, so he knows how vandalism can crop up in your crops.

I still can not grasp what makes scum do things such as this. There are lots of crimes that I can understand, not condone just understand. Mindless vandalism or violence for the sake of it is beyond my comprehension.

It's the "look at me - see what I can do and make headline news for doing it" syndrome ... absolutely no originality in these crimes, and yet the news media picks it up like flies on rotting fruit and blows everything out of proportion. Imho, it's the media's fault for publicizing this crap.

It might be time to rewatch "Clockwork Orange", and get into some ultra-violence.
We all like "Singin' in the Rain", don't we?

You hit those nails right on the head, John. Grinning - and did it with an old fashioned hammer!
