Things you didn't know about Elvis

On 16th August 1977, Elvis Presley was found dead lying on the floor in his bathroom by his girlfriend Ginger Alden, he had been seated on the toilet reading 'The Scientific Search For Jesus'. He died of heart failure at the age of 42. His first record for RCA, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, was also his first US No.1. He starred in 31 films. Elvis holds the record for the most entries on the US Hot 100 chart with 154.

They "say" he was found dead ...

Soon afterward, the upstairs portion of Graceland was closed to the public. Before his 'death' it was always open for touring. In my humble opinion, I truly believe that Elvis is alive and well - sometimes living in that upstairs portion of Graceland. The piano downstairs is still being tuned regularly ... why? ... if it's not being used, it does not need to be tuned.

In my own humble opinion, I think the death was faked ... he was at his peak in popularity, yet age was starting to take its toll and the performance schedule was absolutely exhausting. A person being presumed 'dead' doesn't then have to keep the pace with daily life, concerts and recordings, and can fully reap all the benefits of fame and money in the presumed 'afterlife' and still remain at the top of the charts.

He was a phenomenon in music ... a great star ... well respected in his field, and a super performer.

Very interesting Lar's. I have noted a number of people believe the same as you and is surely possible with all his money. I did like many of his movies and some of his music..probably "Love Me Tender " and Hawaian(spelling?) Wedding song the best.

This is one of my favorite trivia questions.

What do Leonardo DaVinci, Vincent Van Gogh and Elvis Presley all have in common?

    They are all surviving twins.

Imagine your soul coming to this earth, forming with a twin beside you, gestating as one,
but being born alone. It has to hurt in a way you can't tell.

Douglas Roy, a singer from Niagara Falls, Canada, had a car dealership owner for a father.
He bought the same equipment Elvis and his band were using, setting himself up in a car lot building,
and started a band, doing some Elvis.
When he got to Hawaii, performing in a hotel where an Elvis movie was made,
the hotel owner made him an offer, saying he'd pay to get a costume and single made,
if Douglas did an Elvis show.
When Elvis returned to Hawaii to celebrate where he made the first live satellite, music broadcast,
Douglas was there, in costume, and threw the single onstage. Elvis saw and stopped the show.
He called Douglas onstage, talking, and asked him to sing a song.
Douglas Roy is the only Elvis imitator to have sung with Elvis onstage,
and he still has the two shirts Elvis gave him.
By the time I played with him in the eighties, he was making $5,000 a week.
He's still got that room set up with all that sixties equipment.

Another conspiracy theory all they have to do is dig him up and take a DNA sample.

As far as more Elvis trivia goes, and the deepening experience of the more widely propogating dead Elvis,
you should watch the recent Johnny Cash movie, showing more offstage than onstage, original Elvis.
After that, I recommend a brain-wash of a viewing of "Amadeus".
