Middle Eastern Instruments with WICKED North American Beats

Hello everyone! I just joined this forum recently and wanted to be more involved with music forums to learn more about different artists. I am a Delerium fan, and their new single has a Lebanese/Canadian singing with them. I then checked out her own work and it is cross fusion. I loved her work and thought I would share with you all. Seems as though she was previously famous as a child star...interesting work!

Hey MissShimmy! And I have to type, MissShimmy must shine because you lit me up.
I've always been a rhythm player, and it's about time that historical rhythms, global rhythms,
started making it more than four four hard rock drummers and drum machines and computers.
Bruce Springsteen gets celebrated for his band putting in almost four hours onstage,
but, for example, concerts in India can go on all day and night, just like me.

I've also got to type, as I riff off into the sunset, MissShimmy must shake!

It's not as easy as it seems, typing about global mentalities when there is a life offline.
One of my sign-painting customers had me for a customer for a long time, a Lebanese now in Ontario, Canada.
His cousin in another city was a sign-painter and supplier for him.
But I'd keep engaging him in conversation, getting into it with other family members,
and he noticed that I understood the prophet Mohammed and had read the Koran,
also saying he should meet a gas bar owner down the street who had a smaller variety retail section.
He said, why, just because I'm from Lebanon too I should know him.
I said no, I just thought you'd like to talk with someone else who speaks your language.
Within days they were co-ordinating milk and cigarette prices, nice for both businesses.
Too bad he wouldn't let me touch his Koran or sing along with his prayer tapes.
Needless to say, now I'm making signs all down along the street.

"The Hulk", that Hollywood action adventure based on a comic book,
was the first international release from there that featured middle east music as a soundtrack.
If Jimi Hendrix was still here, he'd feature a picture of himself riding a flying carpet on his next CD, I'm sure.
