• Welcome to the Pipe Organ Forum! This is a part of the open community Magle International Music Forums focused on pipe organs (also known as "church organs"), organists, organ music and related topics.

This forum is intended to be a friendly place where technically advanced organists and beginners (or even non-organists) can feel comfortable having discussions and asking questions. We learn by reading and asking questions, and it is hoped that the beginners (or non-organists) will feel free to ask even the simplest questions, and that the more advanced organists will patiently answer these questions. On the other hand, we encourage complex, technical discussions of technique, music, organ-building, etc. The opinions and observations of a diverse group of people from around the world should prove to be interesting and stimulating to all of us.

As pipe organ discussions can sometimes become lively, it should be pointed out that this is an open forum. Statements made here are the opinion of the poster, and not necessarily that of the forum itself, its administrator, or its moderators.

Paradigma 1 updated for jOrgan 3.17

Hi,

Two years after its first release as an example (paradigma in Greek) of what we can do with jOrgan, I updated Paradigma 1 disposition to jOrgan v3.17 standards.

On site you can listen (better download...) to "Branle des Basques" by L.Couperin as I played with this model and Jack for windows link with Guitar Rig (Reflektor) to add Convolution reverb (a medium Cathedral).

Any feedback welcome.
Have fun !

Hi Ghekorg7 :)

I am trying to configure Paradigma 1a to work in my system but with no luck.
Jorgan works fine for other dispositions which use fluidsynth.
This is how I tried: Portaudio ASIOALL4 v2(512), Jorgan 3.17, Open Paradigma 1a,
disposition Paradigma and Jack(set 512), Jack Control ( there were just system left
and system right). And I set voices( pipes) and played virtual keyboard (Jorgan)
and yamaha PSR-225 midikeyboard, there were no sound. I tried with Paradigma 1a
ASIO driver and then played Yamaha keyboard midi with no sound.

So, I'm asking how should I connect Paradigma 1a to my computer with settings?
I have found out, that Jack Portaudio can be closed first clicking Portaudio
window and then ctrl-c.

My system: Windows Pro SP3, 32 bit, Soundcard Terratec DMX 6fire24/96
(ASIO driver DMX6fire 24/96, MIDI DMX 6fire 24/96), motherboard
integrated Realtek sound (which I don't use), Jack 1.99, ASIOALL4 v2 and
Yamaha PSR-225 with midi in and out.

Thanks Ghekorg7, you played fine in Paradigma 1a file.

Hi Joku :)

Did standard DS Paradigma1a worked there ?? (as all standard jOrgan dispositions).

If all other jOrgan dispositions work this should work too : Windows Direct sound for Fluidsynth.

Tested on jOrgan users list and I get no negative feed back..... all OK ..... hmmm

Jack version is set at 48000/128.... so if you are on 44100 512 you should change paradigma to 44100/512 to work with your Jack settings.

Asio4all it will not work since you have Terratec on charge there. Change Asio4all destination on jOrgan with Terrateck.

No neeed to use Asio4all there at all since Terratec has its own Asio driver.

All changes in jOrgan are done with construction mode, selecting desired element.

Hi Ghekorg7 :)

I did test Paradigma 1a DS disposition, it did worked fine (nice positiv sound) but
although I did set jorgan customize 1. Positiv DMX 6fire midi,
2. Grandorgue DMX 6fire midi, 3. Pedal DMX 6fire midi and Paradigma
full there played just positiv. I could play(make sound) 2. Grandorgue and
3. Pedal through jorgan virtual keyboard but not Yamaha PSR-225 keyboard. I
have just one keyboard in PSR-225.

I tried setting Portaudio Asio DMX 6fire 24/96, and then Jorgan Paradigma 1a
construct 44100 512, and then Jack control but there were just system left and right.
So, when I played PSR-225 keyboard or jorgan virtual keyboard there was no sound.

Thanks Ghekorg7

Hi Joku again :)

Since you got a PSR only (I got one too, but in our holidays island home) probably sending only on midi ch1 from its own keyboard, = the same as Positiv on Paradigma 1a, you got to set in jOrgan / customize the midi ch on both GO and Ped to midi ch 1 !

On my PSR/jOrgan setup I'm doing it else : I set GO to Ch1, positiv on ch2 and ped to 3. So this way I'm using the Pos/GO coupler to get sounds from both keyboards in one (the PSR). Ped is off anyway, though I could construct a Ped/GO coupler (mono, last note priority) and use it too (it's easy with jOrgan construction mode).

Check these out and talk again :)

all my best

Hi Ghekorg7 :)

Now Paradigma 1a works well (superb sound) with disposition DS
and all virtual keyboards use PSR-keyboard because I set ch1 for
all, like you said. Sometimes I like to hear more different sounds
(registers) from Paradigma 1a, so I can do it now thanks to your advice.

Thanks Ghekorg7

Hey ! Great.
Glad you enjoy it :)

I'm working on this sf2 file more : Under construction is a classic Alsatian 3m/p model, using single stops/ranks from this 1a (combinations) model.

I'll post here when ready. keep an eye ;-)

Have fun !
