Robert Elmore's Rhythmic Suite: I. Rhythms

Fine performance from another of the young organist carrers I follow.

I've played a number of Elmore's pieces - ones suited for liturgical use. OrganoPleno, you do a superb job with that movement, absolutely superb!

I like Elmore's music very much - he was the organist for the Philadelphia Orchestra at one point, if I remember correctly. In a time when academia was churning out avant-garde crap by the truckload, Elmore was writing music that organists actually wanted to play and audiences actually wanted to hear.

Thank you John! That means a lot. I put a lot of work into that movement. I'm not 100% happy with it yet, but I have a few more months still until I perform it (and the rest of the Suite) in a recital. In addition to Elmore's Fantasy on Nursery Tunes. =) Since it is going to be Elmore's centennial in January I'm trying to do my part to make his music more well known again. My previous teacher was actually one of Elmore's assistants so I'm fortunate to know a lot about Elmore and am familiar with most of his organ works.

The second movement of the suite is also on my YouTube channel if you're interested!
