Oy Vey!!! Such a beautiful truth...And now I think and feel and perceive of JSBach's music...People speak and write about how much they love the melody and harmony of JSBach's music...But what caused JSBach to write such beautiful music??? "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". JSBach was a better theologian than many priests in the past and in the present.

And if we "know" music, we can begin to perceive the beauty of the Creator and His Universe. Music is but the handmaiden of the Word, the Word which was there before time began...

But please, let us all not become so enchanted and enthralled by the beautiful handmaiden, though stunningly comely she may be...

*If a man wants God to hear his prayer quickly, then before he prays for anything else, even his own soul, when he stands and stretches out his hands towards God, he must pray with all his heart for his enemies. Through this action God will hear everything that he asks* -Abba Zeno-

*Protagoras: "Truth is subjective. What is true for you, and what is true for me, is true for me. Your opinion is true by virtue of its being your opinion."

*Socrates: "My opinion is: Truth is absolute, not opinion, and that you are in absolute error. Since this is my opinion, then according to your philosophy you must grant that it is true."

    Excellent ...

Any robot can play the notes ... but that is not all there is to the art of making music.

Music comes from the heart and soul, and through our talents as organists, we are able to transmit that love of music to our listeners.
