OK so this is how it sounds in original vocal form

I did try singing some of his works at a weekend study session (way back when I could still manage counter tenor), not the easiest of works to wrap the tonsils round.

I will be "arranging" a few more of these over the next few weeks, must try and improve the registration, maybe try some different instrumentation, flutes, recorders, and/or oboe over a Harpsichord? Don't think brass would suit though.

Now that is some tpough vocal work. I do recall ever hearing of this composer. of course been 50 yrs since I sang any madrigal work too.

That is probably one of his "milder" works, the harmonies and progressions he often used made life choral really interesting.
