Hey, fenders are pretty good I hear, isn't that what Jimmi Hendricks used to have, or somebody like that, they are good guitars, I know base chords and thats about it, (my craze to start guitar)

I can sing..........but yeah, it wouldn't sound exactly good.

Jimi Hendrix owned quite a few guitars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimi_Hendrix#Guitars). Fenders are generally good instruments, but are better known for their electric guitars than their acoustic.

Do you know how to form barre chords? With a couple of cage systems, you can play any major or minor chord without having to think about it. Guitar is a fun instrument to pick up and learn fairly easily.

And, few guitarists are content with their voice; just be confident and you'll do great with any vocal music.

Yeah, I know how to form barre chords but some of them confuse me, I wish I could sing, the joy, the feeling, that you know you could sing and everyone appreciates it!!

    I play:
    a Powell flute
    a Yamaha wooden piccolo
    an Armstrong alto flute (pre-UMI)
    an Everett piano
    a Yamaha keyboard
    my own alto voice
    a fife
    a tin whistle
    and some various percussion toys

    I also own:
    my mother's old clarinet
    a soprano recorder
and a couple of acoustic guitars in need of some TLC

some day I hope to add an organ to my collection, but for now, I rely on the generosity of my university and church for my organ learning experiences

I have an electric guitar, and a piano. I'm really good at the guitar now, but still having a lot of trouble with the piano.

Re: What instruments do you have?

I recently got a 10 year old Roland Electric piano, although I know Roland to sound very electronic, the feel of the E.P is great, it has got many features, I also figured out the first 5 seconds of Dvoraks 9th Symphony 1st movement on the strings on there, basically sounded identical to the recording that I have. The only trouble with Electric Pianos is that when they get older they might not function as well, and when you press down the keys they make a "duk" sound if you get what I mean????

    Re: Who wants to...

I have a Hornung & Møller Grand Piano
    A Yahama Digital Piano
...and several other synthesizers and sound modules
    I also have a violin,
    2 trumpets,
    1 trombone,
    a traverse flute,
    several recorders in different sizes,
    a clarinet,
    a bassoon
    and a horn

I don't have an organ yet though
And no guitar? Frederik your not a man without a guitar! Hahaha just kidding! However for anyone looking to pick up a fun and fairly easy instrument (that does require lots of practice), I would highly recommend the guitar. Also, don't forgot that the ladies love men with guitars, even if they can't play 'em...

Oh and I have 3 guitars as of now.. I recently had 6, however I gave them a new home at my local music store.. and picked up some nice cash!

    YAY!!!!

I am finally getting a piano in the next two weeks!!! It is very stylish, a french provincial antique style design, if that means something to anyone. The brand is Alex Steinbach, a highly respected piano builder for over 20 years.

Here is the website, just for anyones interest.

Re: What instruments do you have?

You should change the title of the topic because I think it messed up with an old one.

    I have:
    a violin
    a traverse flute
    a midi controller (M-Audio Pro 88keys workstation)
    and I just bought a Kurzweil 2600X 88keys synth.

I wish to have a grand piano.. maybe something like a Steinway Grand.. lol, I'll wait on this one

Ahhh, a grand has always been my dream instrument. Or when not IF, I learn organ, a pipe one, but the chance of me getting that is really really minimal.
