Jan Dismas Zelenka

While looking for something else I came across this composer, thinking of one of our members I thought it might be of interest, the line up of the trio sonata is one I've not come across before, there is a violin but somewhat buried in the continuo! I'm now looking for his works on last.fm,

Scores on IMSLP, and a youtube of one of the trio sonatas

(the harpsichord part of the continuo is very subdued Colin, you should be able to listen to it)

Having listened to a bit more Zelenka, it sounds as though he really liked the oboe, or probably in his day the hautbois, in most of his instrumental works I've listened to so far it is prominently featured along with the bassoon. I'm surprised to find so much of his work there, when there is none on last.fm. Quite a fair amount of his choral work there as well.
