Sounds great! I'm booking a flight for July, then.

Come on over. The grass is green, the wine is red (or white or pink)

Lovely picture Colin. The yellow bush looks like Forsythia. We have a similar one outside our back door. The birds tend to gather there for feeding.

Not so easy without a closer shot of the blooms, could be an ornamental cherry or crab apple, too white for hawthorn but could be blackthorn.
    Cheers MIKE.

Can't give a good close up as it has been destroyed by JHC but this may help

I'll go for blackthorn AKA sloe, (reason for choice flowers before any leaf show)
    Cheers MIKE.

It is an Almond Tree they are I believe a native of Asia but I am not a gardener Mike, I have had to remove all the shrubs and trees in that small spot as they were getting too much to keep under control

Sadly we had to cut down our almond tree ( and it really was a tree) as it started to lean after a bad storm. Beautiful blosson in the Spring. At least the wood went to a local wood turner/carver.

Here in the Niagara Peninsula there's only left-over snow piles around mall parking lots,
and it was over forty, no wind, nice and sunny today.
You guys, with your wonderful gardens, deserve this weather more than I do.

In truth John my garden looks a mess at the moment. We were unable to do much work in the Autumn due to the weather, and that is probably the most important period for grdening. Now the Spring is turnining out the same with very cold wet weather it does not look good for the Summer garden.
