In South Africa electricity rationing is a reality. During peak hours you can actually hear the municipal controlled switches turning all the water heaters in town off, then you start praying they remember to turn them back on. If they turn them on you know it, because all the lights in town dim and freezer motors start labouring as 15000+ geysers all come on at the same time. Eskom (Electricity Supply Commission) are re-activating old power stations and using load shedding(turning power off to certain areas for 2 hours at a time) because no new power stations have been built since our current administration came into control. That our government keep on promissing "electricity, water and housing" to everyone before an election does not help to solve the problem.Rather than let us build the replacement power stations we need the EU have come up with a wonderful idea. They will ration our consumption. It has been possible for some years to control electric aparatus remomety through a mains commection provided it is fitted with the appropriate mechanism. So the EU want to fit all household equipment with these devices so they can swith them off in the event of over consumption. Fridges, freezers, cookers etc. They also want us to build another 7,000 windturbines. Yes. Those useless things that don't work when the weather is very cold, and catch fire when it is too windy. I wonder if our gutless goverment will agree to these steps.

Easy. Deficit spending in peacetime. Theft and impovershment of future generations. Graceless, immoral and unforgivable. What do you think is the most pathetic, gutless thing your goverment has ever done?
Answers on a postcard please.
