New Graphics Design!!

I'm very pleased to present to you the new graphics design on MIMF.dk!

I commisioned the excellent Canadian web designer Lane Olson to do a complete makeover of this forum, complementing the design of my personal website www.magle.dk

As you may know, www.magle.dk was also designed by a Canadian - the outstanding graphics artist Pollux Chung. The reason I'm not using Pollux to do this forum is simply that creating "stylesheets" for a UBBforum (the software that runs this forum) is a field in its own and Lane Olson is an expert in that field! He was the right person for this job.

I hope you will enjoy the new design - I'm very happy with it myself!

yeah it's a nice idea with the "common-theme" with your personal homepage and the forum... - though I must admit, I liked the typesetting a bit better on the "old layout"... - the fonts were somewhat more legiable, more easy to read - not that the other fonts are bad, I just like the clearity about the arial/helvetica/verdana fonts - I find them more uncomplicated to read.

Yeah....I have already said how good the "new look forum" is.....but do agree with corno about the font...I am having a little trouble reading....but of course,it may be that we all got so used to the old font.I am sure we will soon get used to it. it is GREAT. Paul/Pamadu.

I'm glad you (mostly) like the new design!

I can't say that I agree with complaints about the fonts. Take a look at this screen-shot (attachment)...I think it's very readable.

They are NOT COMPLAINTS....They are merely an observation.
My Screen cerainly cannot get the Font to look as large as your attachment.However...it MAY BE ME....BUT IT DOES LOOK BIGGER NOW.Perhaps you have altered the resolution since I first saw it,12 or more hours ago.....anyway...It is still "Excellent" Pamadu.
P.S.In Fact I can "Honestly" tell you that when I first saw it,
it WAS much smaller....Now it is twice the size.

it's not that the fonts are impossible to read... I just find it easier, on webpages, to read fonts like arial and verdana as compared to times new roman or similar fonts... - when writing a message like this one I find it easier to read the guidelines above than the text I'm responding to - it might, and probably will differ not only from operating system to operatingsystem but also from browser to browser. - just some critical comments, nothing more...

Pamadu>> you are right, the first font that came with the data I uploaded was way too small...I believe it was a small "new roman". very hard to read. But it was corrected 4-5 hours later.

Corno>> strange.... the fonts you should be seeing are indeed the "Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" font-family, not times new roman... did you see the screen-shot I attached? what browser/OS are you using? Would it be possible for you to take a screen-shot and upload it here?

The fonts are better now... I don't know if I had some residual-font-coding stuck in my internet explorer... but it's much more legiable now...

Der er justeret en del på farverne og det har hjulpet en del. Kan være derfor du har haft lidt svært ved at læse herinde. Det var meget mørkt og lidt svært at læse, da det virkede lidt småt og gnidret.
Men nu skrev Hr. Magle jo også, at det ikke var helt færdigt.

Det skulle være det færdig resultat vi ser på nu Og det er jo ikke helt dårligt

great reviews Frederik...
I had a look at the other forum some days ago and saw a commentary on www.magle.dk being impossible to access... I also have that problem when using internet explorer - but not with eg. netscape 7.1...
