Dear Mr. Brandes,
with your criticism I feel described my slow awakening for the beauty of 20th century music. I mean Nono, Henze, Rihm and others. I must confess, I have really struggled with modern works I had to sing. I always felt that the amount of work was out of all proportion to the final result. For sure, often it was breathtaking and thrilling, but it never really touched my heart. All I wanted to say was, that your music has enduring beauty that touches.
Thank you for the address of Thein musicproduction and the Else Lasker- Schüler Gesellschaft.

Dear Naiomie,
thank you very much for your kind reply. If you don´t mind I´ll send you a private message in german. My english is not so good and so it would be much easier for me to say what I really mean.
What do you think?
Best regards,
Torsten Brandes
Dear Mr. Brandes,
I got the CD today. I´m very much impressed by the whole work. Love the String Quartett aswell.
Thank you very much.

I was rather astonished to find such a lovely work (and so well produced/recorded) on this forum. The text is equally moving --inasmuch as I can understand it with my mediocre German. I'd love to hear more of your music, especially the string quartet that Naiomie mentions in the last post, if that's possible?
Hi,
I´wasn´t online quiet a long time because of a new theatre production. Sorry that I didn´t answer earlier. Thank you for your kind words. I could make it possible to upload the string quartett here but I prefer to communicate with people who have real names. A composition is something very personal and I´d like to know who asks me for it.
All the best,
Torsten Brandes
