Hello... A guitar learner

There's some Stuart tartan laying out now, a recent wear.

The one, best piece of advice I can give a beginning guitarist,
left or right-handed,
is to learn your first chords at the bottom of the neck, as usual,
but half the time, try playing with your big finger sticking up, not used,
so you get ready for barre chords, holding down all six strings, all the time.

And if you're playing a formation where you can't move it or change it fast,
see if your fingers are in a row, learning your chords with fingers in a row.

I'll let Jack Stuart describe how to take the swirlin' up to the skirlin'.
The Kenny Hill video was too poignant, and not picky enough.
