The main issue is not, that the stop looses its reed character at the high notes (as most reed stops do), but that we don't blend the transition.
Play in C-major starting c'' - it sounds like someone has replaced a few pipes from the lower half of the octave with flute pipes.
Oboe of Kalvträsk extended:
c''-f'' + g'' sound like a reed
fis'' and gis''(+above) don't sound like a reed any more.
So probably e'' will be the closest replacement for fis'' - in that case the c'' octave will still provide a reed sound.
We could also replace g'' with a'' - in that case, the c'' octave will be more flute like.
