    Organ registrations

    Hi all
Can anyone share their registrations for sung responses such as

    a) The Gloria
    b) Lord have mercy
    c) Holy Holy Holy Lord
    d) Lamb of God

As I could do with bouncing a few ideas off people!

    thanks

I, personally, tend to keep registrations used in the liturgies as simple as possible ... usually 8' & 4' flues, and no 16' in the pedal.

When we do the Gloria, I add a 2' towards the end. I never pull reeds on for liturgy, except for Easter when we do a bunch of Alleluias.

For the Sanctus and Agnus Dei, I keep it very simple ... the idea there is to make it so that the organ does not stand out, but just enough to lead the parishioners and keep the time. Maybe a 2' flute could be added from an enclosed division with the shutters closed.
