• Welcome to the Pipe Organ Forum! This is a part of the open community Magle International Music Forums focused on pipe organs (also known as "church organs"), organists, organ music and related topics.

    This forum is intended to be a friendly place where technically advanced organists and beginners (or even non-organists) can feel comfortable having discussions and asking questions. We learn by reading and asking questions, and it is hoped that the beginners (or non-organists) will feel free to ask even the simplest questions, and that the more advanced organists will patiently answer these questions. On the other hand, we encourage complex, technical discussions of technique, music, organ-building, etc. The opinions and observations of a diverse group of people from around the world should prove to be interesting and stimulating to all of us.

    As pipe organ discussions can sometimes become lively, it should be pointed out that this is an open forum. Statements made here are the opinion of the poster, and not necessarily that of the forum itself, its administrator, or its moderators.

    In order to post a new topic - or reply to existing ones - you may join and become a member by clicking on Register New User. It's completely free and only requires a working email address (in order to confirm your registration - it will never be given away!). We strive to make this a friendly and informative forum for anyone interested in pipe organs and organ music.

Hi Larioant.
Please send me the required password to download the new file.....
Thanks,
Mick.
Hello Mich, and all, for now the file is the same as that which can be downloaded from Homepage. (Don't add extra. The syntax is
Name=Pedal) Thanks e9925248.
I deleted all the spaces in Odf.
regards Antonio

I made an update to the program ODF-Maker, I corrected some small mistakes and I added 8 Generals+ GC . I also changed the language to graphics. Those interested can download the program from the "download" of my site. It only requires a registration (free) to access.

Update: I added a windchest, a swell and expressive brackets, and now seems to load even with the 1665 version of GO.
Antonio.

Greetings Antonio.

Hi Antonio.
This version (ODF-Maker-1.0.exe) does not seem to have any extra GUI and also makes the ODF immediately after the stops have been input.
Seems it nust be the wrong one.

Hello Mick, additions are not for the program, but are into ODF that is created, so they are visible in the organ created by you. Thanks to some users I corrected some mistakes. The new version can be downloaded from my website.

Hi Antonio.
The program works well. The addition of the crescendo and other setter elements is excellent. You have done us a great service by incorporating the setter elements, so that for the first time (I think) we have an example of how it is done.

I would like to see a list of the entries as they are added, and the ability to go back and edit them if necessary. It is a pity that you have to start again if you make a mistake. So far I have made only small organs so it hasn't been a problem, but it would become problematic if there were say twenty stops on each of four manuals, and you made a mistake at the 79th entry!

Something has crept into the program that I think maybe you did not intend. In the coupler section you have:
CoupleToSubsequentUpwardIntramanualCouplers=y
This creates what is to my mind a very undesirable effect, as the stops are coupled all the way up the keyboard, resulting in serious screeching. I'm very surprised that this option is in the ODF at all. Are there real organs that have this facility?

All the best,
Mick.

Hello everyone, and now that the program has not a problem, go on with the addition of the third manual.
Regards Antonio.

I have created a new interface to enter data. If you have any questions or if you were wrong to insert some data, you must not begin again the work, but you can easily fix the stop that you think you redo.

Great! Is it on your website?

I have a big project to try, a big organ to make. I'm looking forward to it.

Mick.
