Playing classical music doesn't have to' stick' to a traditional routine. A tradition for classical music, for some people, might woder around piano or violin. Just share your opinion. Let us know what you like. Classical doesn't always ancient, right huh?;)

Pipe organ, which is an ancient instrument in some ways.

The life it breathes when I am playing satisfies my thirst for musical pleasure.

I can understand Kruumhorn when he says an organ breathes, liking that more than piano,
after thinking about Frederik Magle telling me he's creating sounds that rise around him,
not immediate sounds, surprising me with how he played a big pipe organ.
I got into guitar hearing Jimi Hendrix, with what they came to call the Marshall roar,
using that six foot tall 100 watt stack, standing in front of that for feedback.
I had a trumpet I bought in a pawn shop, a violin given to me by a fiancees aunt,
playing cornet in a high school orchestra, writing an eighteen part symphony they performed,
(My music teacher was right. It was better for me to not play and listen to it myself)
and played my brother's guitar, using my canteen as a bongo jamming out camping.
But if I'm not playing a Stratocaster style guitar through a Marshall amp with effects,
where sounds can be created without having to use my fingers,
I just don't get that excited.
That long scale also makes it easier to imitate Nicolo Paganini, John Coltrane and Ravi Shankhar.

Piano. Definitely a more ergonomic instrument than the didgeridoo, if a little costlier to make.

Most acoustic instruments sound good to me I do not like instruments that depend upon electricity to produce sound. I know........?
