    Need Vox Humana for GO

I need a Vox Humana stop for my organ. Do any of the free GO organs have one? And BTW it needs to be dry.

    Thanks,

    Mick Berg.

I don't remember any completely free ones available (yet) but there's a lovely french version in the Pibrac sampleset although it's not complete down to C. There's also a nice version in the St. Michel en ThiƩrache demo sampleset that Sonus Paradisi have (I have a odf for that demo set on my webpage).

    Kind regards

Also the SonusParadisi Demo Utrecht Batz organ has a very beautiful Vox Humana. Only descant from 60-91. Don't know if it's allowed to use and build in another (composition) sample set ?

Being lazy, I tried the Vox Humana from the Barton Organ, as I already had it installed. But it seems much too full, not thin and buzzy like a Baroque Vox Humana in my experience. Is the Vox Humana in a theater organ a completely different animal?

I also need a Regal, which I believe is also a thin and buzzy reed stop. To be honest I really don't want one, but as there is an engraved Regal stop on the console, I feel obliged to provide it!

I'd prefer Vox Humana 8' from the Sonus Paradisi Demo Rotterdam http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/Rot....Hauptwerk.rar

Is it too late to make a suggestion, Mick?
There is a VH in the Cavaille-Coll orgue de Chateauneuf (109-orgue) on the French site:

    Dear Mick,

does it has to be a GO-organ?
Ik know a lot free demos of Sonus Paradisi who contain marvellous Vox Humanas.
See The site of Sonus Paradisi under the tab Free Stuff. Dont know where you live, but it gives mostly European organs.

    Hi John.
Thanks for your reply, and my apologies for such a long delay in replying.
I haven't got round to replacing the VH yet but I did download the Cavaille-Coll #111. What an interesting organ!
Strange that the ranks are not named in the ODF. Makes it difficult to make adjustments in the Organ settings, like I want to increase the volume of the Barker action to make it sound like the only Cavaille-Coll I have ever heard.
Thanks for directing me to this website.
    Mick

    Hi Farris.
Thanks, I will look. I need the VH to fill out Joseph Basquin's Silbermann sampleset to match the Arlesheim Silbermann. So it needs to be from that time period.
I have something that works but it's always good to look at other things.
It doesn't have to be a GO organ as long as the samples will work in GO.
    Thanks,
    Mick
