Look for one thing, find another

Whilst hunting IMSLP for a composer, I found this, 232 pages covering 136 scores; (should keep Lars going for a few days!) All I need now is a free PDF to MusicXML convertor!

    Cheers MIKE.

Not found a PDF>MusicXML so I'm trying a PDF to Music which does PDF>MIDI and a few others $49/€40/£32, there is free trial version but that only does one page but as it seems to work - (up to a point) I've paid.

The MIDI file seems to play OK but when imported to Finalé 3 staves have become 5, however it's not too drastic to edit given the original PDF so does save a lot of manual entry.

One advantage for me is that it will "play" a MIDI version of a PDF file so with the IMSLP link above an unknown work can be listened to before saving and subsequent export to notation software, not unlike viewing photos before editing.

=#'@£$@! it may sound good in theory, but seems like it's a bit too fussy over some of the IMSLP files, so back to the drawing board. Shouldn't cause problems for those who can print them out and start playing though.
    Cheers MIKE.

... nice collection there that is now part of my digital library of organ scores. Thanks for finding this, Mike ... it certainly will keep me busy for the time being.
