Greek Folk Music Theory?

Hello everyone!

First of all, I feel bad for my first post here just being asking for something, but I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction, and then I can keep on being involved in this forum!

Anyway, I'm just looking for any resources anyone might have on playing Greek folk music (mostly in the "rembetika" style). I just want to learn a bit of the underlying theory involved, as in common chord progressions and scales. If the resources are in Greek, that's fine - Greek's not my first language, but I know it well enough for that.

I know the chances of someone having knowledge about such a specific kind of music are rather slim, but it would be great even if you pointed me to another site, perhaps more oriented towards world folk music.

This got me going, so it should help you.
I just bought a thick book about Greek art and architecture,
that really inspires me to do a painting.
The book features the original find, how it looks now,
with an artists' rendering of how it looked originally, all painted up.
I already used a white background featuring the octopus design,
behind a fallen, using blues, copy of a Greek warrior,
from the east pediment of the temple of Aphaia, Aigina.
Hey! I'll try a photo!
This is an ordinary sheet of white bristle board for the wall background, using paint,
with a blue piece for the warrior glued on top, using a blue magic marker.
If you can imagine an ordinary sheet of bristleboard, you can see this camera shortens it.
Total art cost, under $3, using just personal electricity.
