    Marie-Claire Alain 's DVD of Bach:Fugues,fanasias,chorales.. very good with subtitles in 5 languages and she makes comments as she plays different compositions..played on many of the old organs of the cities he lived/played/composed.

    which version of the Schubert Great was it Mat? I heard the 1970s BPO karajan recording earlier this week, I was very pleasantly surprised. Of course, typical of that autocratic psycho Karajan, it was self indulgent.

    Actually, David, it was a random recording I chose from Naxos library earlier today: Budapest Failoni Chamber Orchestra conducted by Michael Halasz.

    Quite enjoyable.
