You sound as if you live from down under. I know that you guys are
getting ready for summer. We are getting ready for winter. Burr!:(
I much rather have spring and fall all year than summer and winter.
One is too hot and the other is too cold. The temperature got up
to 104 last summer and last winter it was down to below three degrees!
Burr! :shake:On holidays it's boring here. One year we had a mild winter.
I like that but the bugs were swarming later that summer.

Yes, we're gearing up for summertime, and the livin' is easy but it's Spring right now and the livin' is sneazy!
We're in for a hot Summer - I don't mind the heat - it's the humidity! We call Fall Autumn - Keat's "season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" - how lovely is that!

Toccata & fugue! I'm finally getting the hang of it and doing much better.
Whew! It's about time! I have been since August learning this piece
and I have just about pulled my hair out.:p There are still places in the
sheet music I have a hard time with. Listening to Magle play toccata &
fugue helps a lot. Thanks Krummhorn for you advice. It's working.

Philip Glass - Glassworks

The only classical cd I'm really familiar with, but man I love it to death.

At the moment: Richard Wagner - Various operatic overtures on Rhapsody. Beautiful music - very uplifting.

At the moment Shostakovich's violin sonatas opus 134 and 147 arranged for violin and string orchestra+percussion. Soloists are Gidon Kremer, Yuri Basmet (Violin/viola) and Andrei Pushkarev (percussion) backed by the Kremerata Baltica. Great stuff with a lot of drama. Kremer is also the conductor.

Today Charles Marie Widor's 5th and 6th symphony for organ. Beautiful stuff (not just the toccata of the 5th)

So I've bought my first Stockhausen, the 2001 release Elektronische Musik, which compiles some of his 1950s work (I believe).

I'm listening now, and I'm really liking it.
