The cello theme in the slow movement is one of my favorite melodies of all time. I really like Blomstedt's Sibelius but haven't heard much else. I'll bet he does a fine job interpreting Bruckner.
Today--Martinu's Symphony 3 & 4. I'm amazed that Martinu doesn't get more recognition. His symphonies that I've heard so far are marvelous. Very melodic with really creative uses of dissonance and orchestration.
Karol Szymanowski - Symphony No.4, op. 60 (Symph. Concertante)
Bach's Cello Suites played by Paolo Pandolfo on the Viola da Gamba.

Elgar's organ works played by Thomas Murray at the Woolsey Hall Organ of Yale University.
Handel's "The Choice of Hercules". by jail-bird Robert King and his band. Adequate performance, indeed the only performance I think.
Bach's *Goldberg Variations* played by Jean Guillou on the organ at Notre-Dame des Neiges.
There are so many great pieces posted by everyone - I am very inspired to listen to every single one, too bad there is not enough time for that
Anyhow, the day started with Frederic Chopin, Fantasie
Chopin's Polonaise in A-flat major.
Glenn Gould, english suite no 6 by of course JS Bach. Then a difficult one - Valentin Silvestrov's 6th symphony on a fine ECM.
