Zimerman playing Schubert Impromptus Nos. 1,2,3, and 4 from Op. 90. Enjoyed them.

    How'd that concert go, Kh?

    Hello Muza,

Richard Strauss was such a masterful orchestrator. He made it seem so easy - - I mean, just take some time and study a conductor's score of "Ein Alpensymphonie" or "Ein Heldenleben" - WOW!!!

    Cheers,

    CD

I'm listening to Sir Charles Mackerras' new recording (in English) of Hansel and Gretel ... delightful by all counts.

Mat - you know Morricone's music to the early 80s horror film The Thing? The music scared the bejeebers out of me (as did the movie).
