    Dear CT64,

I much appreciate your comments - You da man! Today I listened to George Delvallee play L'Orgue Mystique by Charles Tournemire.
Btw, I understand that you might be transitioning to Melbourne pretty soon, n'est-ce pas?

One more thing: Listen to the two soundfiles below and tell me what you think:

Paul Hindemith: Trio for heckelphone, viola and piano. Why isn't the heckelphone used

    more? It rules!

    Hi Udyret,

I really dig the sound of the Heckelphone - It is such a cool instrument.

Back on topic: Rachmaninoff's "Moments Musicaux" played by Vladimir Ashkenazy.

    Cheers,

    CD

Lots of organ music: Oliver Messiaen "Apparation de l'Eglise éternelle" and "L'Ascension",

Johann Pachelbel "Ricercare in c-minor," J.S. Bach "Prelude and fugue in B-major", and

Marcel Dupre "Prelude and fugue in g-minor". The reason for the quantity is, that I was

the page turner at a concert performed by my teacher. Great stuff and performance!

Udyret - wow - I've heard a lot of Paul Hindemith's music, play a lot of his viola music myself (difficult stuff) but I've never actually heard that piece with the bass oboe.

Schönbergs *Verklärte Nacht* - I always get icy chills running up and down my spine whilst listening to this music.

Here is a three-part video of the piece:
