    Aloha rovikered,

May I humbly submit the following vid for your pleasure - I find this easier to play than *Le Banquet Celeste*:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JchM9sph2I8

Yes, Messiaen's organ and piano music invariably challenges me greatly and causes me to rip the hair off my scalp

But I live for the challenge.............

    Humbly submitted,

    CD

    Aloha rovikered,

Bravo to your enthusiasm for *Vingt Regards* - Most of the movements are very technically demanding and then comes the interpretational aspect of it all. I wish you the best of success as you plow through the score.

On the other hand - I am sending you a Private Message - You might very well like what it is about.

    Respectfully yours,

I love 'Vingt Regards' as well. It's been a while since I listened to the whole thing. With much of this work it doesn't even sound like a piano is playing, the chords and voicing are so unique.

Anyway, my recent listening has been Arthur Honegger--Symphony 2, Symphony 4, and Une Cantate de Noel. L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande/Ernest Ansermet. Great works that have grown on me over the years, especially the cantata.

Mahler, Symphony No. 1. I have had a long facination for that work.

I've been listening to David Drury playing the organ of Christ Church St Laurence from the intercom from the church which speaks into the office (next door). He's been playing some Druflé. I'm in heaven.
