    Music in Berlin and Krakow

    Hi everyone,
Next summer I am going on a school trip to Berlin, Germany and Krakow, Poland and was wondering if there was anywhere on anyone music realted I should go and see. Well alot of the trip will be organised for us I know we will have some free time in the cities. In Krakow I know that we have a Klezemer evening with a band which I'm looking forward too .
    Thanks,
    Anna

    Hey Anna!

If you want to know about music in Poland give Basia (a member of MIMIF) a private message. I believe she has been to Poland.

And Chopin was born in Poland, apparantly everything is Chopin over there.

    Yes Anna,
I HAVE been to Krakow, Poland and I advise you one thing; go see the slanted wall, haha I had a blast there myself. In Krakow there aren't any musical composers there... sorry. But otherwise it's such a beautiful place and so darn interesting, you'll love the hour call from the tower.

If only you'd go to Austria... now THAT'S a musitians dream.

    Hi Anna,

you definitely should go to listen to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra with Simon Rattle. Don´t know how much time you have in Berlin. If you need further information just pm me.

    Kind regards,

    Hi guys,
Sorry I haven't been opn here for ages, things have just got so busy!!
Thanks for your advice, I will keep it in mind. About the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to go to a concert, but I know atleast one other person on the trip would love that and I also now have a pen friend musician who lives in Berlin, so I might ask her to keep an eye out for anything going on while we're there. I think we probably only have one or two days in both Berlin and Krakow - the whole trip is five days long.

    Hey Anna,

    Can I go as well?

Is the trip coming up soon?
