New Music Of Hans Christian Celebrates Mountain Serenity

NANDA DEVI is the name of the new recording by Hans Christian, and it also is the name of a sacred mountain in Northern India near Tibet.

On his musical tribute to this wilderness place, Hans Christian plays cello and guitars mixed with dozens of exotic world music instruments, especially those from India. The music floats and swirls and soars and wanders like a hike in the forest among the riches of nature. Christian takes the listener on a musical journey inspired by a trip to India, the mountain and the landscape in that area. He captures in music the way the sunlight travels across the ranges during the day, the feeling of being dwarfed when in the surrounding valleys, how a mountain of that size causes each individual to take their own inner journey of spiritual ecstasy.

His cello and acoustic guitars meld well with stringed-instruments from India such as the sitar, the sarangi and the dhilruba. This should be a list-topper for fans of new age music, world-fusion or peaceful music.
