The Independence Day Concert to be held at the Washinton National Cathedral will be, I am confident, a most delightful, touching and beautiful event. This is only a thought on my part but only one person I can think of whom would make it even better is an organist I most admire and appreciate, Gert van Hoef. I can hear his expertise in keyboard technique and improvisation at the console of that Grand Cathedral pipe organ.
