Hi! I am a new member

I am 78 years old, have lived out of Alexandria,VA, Los Alamos, NM, Elko, NV (where I taught Jr Hi band for 26 years), and St George, UT. I I have been an organist for 55 years, frustrated because I have only obtained a B+ level of performance. I have a BM in music theory, and a MA in music composition, both from BYU. I have been an pianist at the Christian Scientist Church in Los Alamos, organist at the First Presbyterian Church in Elko, St Pauls Episcopal Church also in Elko, and in several LDS Wards. My little 3-rank pipe organ that I am building is about 80% completed. I am also proficient in stained glass and ceramics.

Troy N! Hmmm.... what can I say... after seeing your wide and deep musical travails.

Yeah! I'm going to use a scan I've still got in my computer, doing that for a personal email.
I don't have photo files, putting my long distance bike-hike photos on discs.

There are Sons and Daughters of the Gael who speak Gaelic.
ga means go, gae means gone, and gael means being of the gone,
and the garden land that my ancestors left,
is far more important than where any of us can now live.
Our friends of the Hebredis Islands, which means being of Hebrew, can be included.
Bay-an-uck let, blessings on you, and as you could say,
Agus oo hane a haritch, you as well my friend.
My mothers' clan system is responsible for the first published English dictionary,
the Holy Bible in English, and the Encyclopedia Britannica.
My Holy Bible has three more lengthy chapters after Revelation.
    Here's the available scan.

I looked in my library here and used two more.
The Department of National Defense pass shows that even this show-band musician,
can be trusted to enter and look around a Canadian military base.
That's a display of tartan I can wear, the Clan Watt legally being able to wear any tartan.
My mother is Clan Hay, as ancient. The Gaelic spelling of water is watter.
Uh... did you get to be an Aaronic or Melchezidek Priest? You've been there.

Not to be a downer, but these forums are the quietest I've ever seen them,
so your new membership and willingness to type about yourself is greatly welcomed.
Youth are just hot to trot, but we seniors have geriatricks.

That lace in the tartan photo is over 120 years old, something a grandmother did.

Welcome, Troy. I will be 78 in June ... I don't know where the years went.

I'm going to be 67 soon, and I wasn't thinking about the age difference before,
just thinking we're both senior musicians.
Youth are just hot to trot, but seniors have geriatricks.

I'd have a pretty good idea of where all the years went,
if I tried to remember all the 9-volt batteries I went through.
No use cry-babying over spilt milk.
