I saw this film last night and have spent about 4 hours this evening trying to find the track listing for it :(

In particular the song that Sig Weaver danced to at her daughter's wake ....so far I've found out that Broken Social Scene did the original music in the film ...and I've listened to what you can on the web and its not any of them Another forum has suggested the song is Japanese and another that it Maori ...

There are no discernable (English) lyrics in it so its a proving a bit tricky to track down.....any suggestions?

hello

I saw this movie just last thursday, it was amazing.

The only one I could recognise while watching the movie was Feist- Let It Die. It was during the part where Alex and Maggie are talking about the funeral in her house and its dim. They do mention a Stereophonics song, I forget what it's called.

Hi everyone. although the film credits list Notteru Ondo as performed by The Drifters, I haven't been able to find it. Only Drifters are from around the 1960s. Has anyone found the Snow Cake song yet?

hello everyone. I saw snow cake over the weekend and loved it. However finding the song notteru ondo has proven to be wicked difficult (the song weaver dances to). The band the drifters is a Japanese band not to be confused with the do-wop group that began in America (also called the drifters) around 1950 or 60. I can't find anything else on the Japanese band anywhere except that it exists, let alone finding the song. I hope this helps a bit and if anyone finds the song please let me know.

Heidi in Nov '07 added an http location (above) for Notteru Ondu - Japanese folk music in Snowcake. I tried this and it doesn't find it for me. For those interested to pursue the music - try 'YouTube !' We found it there this morning Good Luck - it is truly amazing stuff - Caroline
