Hi, ON ... I can't find any x, y, or z Danish composers either ... maybe rojo or another poster might have one of those to submit. If it turns out that there are no Danish composers with those letters, then ON gets gets to choose the next country, which starts with the letter "E" (continents excluded).
Once the new country is selected we will list those composers A-Z, or as close as possible.

    Couldn`t find any X or Y, but here`s-

    Z - Walter Zacharias

    Ø - Hanne Ørvad

    Å - Martin Åkerwall

I think that ON should pick the next country; I`ve already chosen one before...

In which case, just follow Krummhorn`s instructions, ON...

''The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work.'' - Michael Jackson

OK. I propose England, but not Great Britain as a whole. This way we'll need to be careful. Composers born in England.

Assuming that the country in question is acceptable, I begin with Richard Addinsell, born in London, 1904, author of the Warsaw Concerto. If it's not a politically acceptable choice, then tell me if you wish to go with Estonia instead. Cheers.

Oh, I'm late to the game...

(Anyhow, Danish composers with the last name beginning with Y: Rachel Yatzkan (yeah, I know she doesn't sound Danish, but she's member of the Danish Composers' Society . I don't know anyone starting with X though...)

An English composer: Frederick Delius (1862-1934)

Ron Goodwin (1925-2003), famous for movie scores (Frenzy) and fun compositions like the New Zealand suite.

PS: I wanted to post Grainger, but it turns out he was born in Australia.

Herbert Norman Howells (1892-1983), We've done several choral anthems by this composer in my church - beautiful pieces.
