    Music of my own

I have four songs of mine up on a myspace music profile. Three of them are very techno like, and the other one, the 'gtl2' song, is a bit more on the classical side, though it does have one or two techno sounding instruments in it, but only for so much of the song .

    The URL is: www.myspace.com/564231

Interesting listening ... tolerable, although not my favorite genre' - but your music represents you as an individual and it's plausable that you take this great interest in composing. I sincerely hope you keep up the great work!!

I really liked your tracks. I think I liked Forest Walk the best, especially when the pizzicato instrument comes in. It makes me feel all happy and stuff, reminds me of chocobos somehow

Wow, we're dredging up some old threads on this board!

Of the four you have up there right now, I wasn't sure about the first one since they sound mixed in mono. I also think there may be some clipping at the start of Harp Theme. But Flutes really sounds beautiful, great blending of patches and very well produced...I enjoyed it thoroughly!

Thanks, Jeff. Yes, some of it isn't to well put together because I play it all by hand on a keyboard and then I have to mix it to all the right timing and such, not always easy, but its the only way I know to do it.

IMO the right way to do it! Even if you have to correct a few timing errors or wrong notes, having a real performance underlying the sequence is key to giving it a human feel. There are tricks in software that will try to randomize things to create that feel for you, but those still frequently sound artificial to me.

I understand what you mean, but that one you liked, the Flutes song, that one is all computer generated .

ROFL! It doesn't have quite as many expressive notes as a Chopin prelude, either. Regardless, the mix sounded very good.
