I think one of the best crossover albums out this year is Frank McNamara's "The Young Messiah - Messiah XXI". It's a modern version of Handel's Messiah and includes pop, blues, gospel and classical sounds. It was filmed in Ireland for the New Millennium but is just being released now on DVD and CD. The singers are Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Roger Daltrey, Jeffrey Osborne, the Irish Philharmonic Orchestra & Choir and the Visual Ministray Gospel Choir, with narration by Aidan Quinn. Quite a combination, isn't it?! Very upbeat version. Anyone here familiar with it?
