I`m not familiar with his music, but it`s always sad for the world to lose a composer. What music of his can be particularly recommended?

Hi Rojo ... and Happy Boxing Day

Sorry for not getting back to your question sooner, but Christmas is always a busy time for me in my church position of DoM and Organist. What a joy it was to lead a full church singing O Come All Ye Faithful at all the Christmas Eve services.

Daniel Pinkham composed for Organ, Piano, Choral, Orchestra, and Brass, and many varied combinations of these.
Of his notable Piano music, there are the Holland Waltzes, Shards, Quarries for 2 pianos. Most of his symphonic compositions were recorded by the London Phil, conducted by Maurice Murphy.

Pinkham also did duo organ recordings with Virgil Fox at the Busch Reisinger Museum at Cambridge College (Boston, MA).

Thanks Krummhorn; Happy Boxing Day to you! What an odd holiday...

Anyway, thanks for the info on Pinkham. My sister is a singer in a choir, and she has performed one of his works; forget which though. I`m going to keep my eyes open for his stuff.

I bet the church services were great!
