    Was Hussein Executed?

    Was Saddam Hussein truly executed?

    Was that him or one of his many doubles?

    An interesting conspiracy theory would be that the execution was staged, and that Hussein is being held captive by the U.S... that man knows so many things... Things the U.S. could slowly twist out of him in some secret bunker...

    Any thoughts?

    I honestly think he's still alive and bathing inluxery by the US for sure. Everyone I've asked about it reckons his definetely dead, for Bush wanted to boost up his reputation in America... he's not exactly a favourite.

    And I've also heard, they had to execute him NOW, for his birthday of 70 would be in a months time, and as the law states, you are not to execute people of 70 or older.

    But, I think he's stiil alive somewhere, under a new identity maybe, and helping out the FBI people on other terrorist acts. We haven't heard the last of it all.

    It's what I think anyway...

    It was him alright - I base this on the way he cunducted himself as seen on videos of the execution. A stand-in would hardly have been able to keep his composure during the shouting.

    It's easy to deride the fashion for seeing conspiracy theories in everything, but perhaps believing in the absurd is just a modern update of religion?

    Surely he was executed. Even the almighty US administration - in case if it wanted to do that - can't fool the whole world for so long. One may of course believe that:
    - Saddam is still alive;
    - Hitler had lived his life in the South America after WWII;
    - Americans had never landed on the Moon - it was all filmed in Hollywood;
    - The plane crashes of 11.09.2001 were carried out not by Al-Kaeda but by the CIA to provide the reason for US to begin the war in Afghanistan -

    and so on.

    Let us end up with all that. Saddam was definitely not a good guy, but he's now dead and let him rest in peace.

    Hey there Sybarite, inasmuch, that it is a possible substitute blame taker. At least religion always gave absolution from guilt. I suspect we search so hard to place blame is because deep down we know we are guilty, even if it's by proxy. The concern I have is the schardenfruend epidemic that currently runs so deep.
