    Moulin Rouge soundtrack

I love this movie and even bought a copy of the soundtrack. A lot of songs bring a lot of emotions and I find the theme very appropriate for the movie.

Did you buy the two CDs? I bought Moulin Rouge (Original Soundtrack) and Moulin Rouge 2. The original soundtrack didn’t include all the songs from the movie. I still like it though. The second one is much much better because they added the original film version of some songs.

I am big fan of Nicole Kidman and I became a bigger fan because of this movie.

The movie was very good.I usually do not like love moviess but this was more of a visual festival than just a love movie and songs were spectacular.Great hits from the second half of 20th century used in a story which occurs 1899.Fatboy Slim's cancan made it also brilliant for the soundtrack and the soundtrack album -though the songs were not the same with their versions in the movie- was successful in reminding the emotion and passion in the movie.

Quite ashamed to say I just cannot get into this movie at all and that spoils the soundtrack for me. I have tried several times to watch it but just don't like it. Crazy really as it has good actors and actress's in it and people rave about it to me but no I just cannot bring myself to sit more than half an hour.
It would of course be a boring world if we all agreed!

I initially didn't want to watch Moulin Rouge myself and I really regretted not seeing it in the cinema just like everyone else did when I finally saw it on DVD. I honestly thought it was going to be schmaltzy and indulgent and boring but the mixing of more modern music and musical styles into the soundtrack really made the movie stand out and consolidate the kind of surreal feel one gets when one enters the Moulin Rouge.

Have you seen an actual show inside the real Moulin Rouge? Surreal.

I loved this movie and the music too. The music was very pleasant, catchy and very reminiscent of the period the movie portrayed. Great performance by the actors too which I think was accentuated with great score. I wish it had own the academy award for best musical that year. Though it did win the Golden Globe award for best picture.
