    Greetings From Toronto, Ontario

    Greetings all,

I have decided to embark on a journey.. ok, so I'm sounding cheesy.

I've been playing trumpet since grade 6 or 7 and had only a couple years off since that time. I'm currently 22 and still enjoying playing it. However, I want to do more.

I want to start a small Brass band (quartet, ensemble, something like that) and so hope to find out a lot and become acquainted with those who already have one or can shed insight.

Currently, I'm looking for good music pieces, than I'll be finding a few people (some of whom I hope will say yes) and going from there.

All in all, looking forward to browsing this site.

    Sincerely,

    Rik (hrjansen)

    Hi Rik

That sounds like a great idea. I thouroughly enjoy listening to brass quintets etc. Good luck with it, and have fun here!

    Thanks!

Yeah, hopefully, if there are times we do small performances (which could very well happen just in our general setting), I'd be able to get my hands on a few recorded pieces and I could compile them together. Perhaps post a few for listening pleasure.

    Thanks again. See ya around!

A belated welcome to you, hrjansen!

I wish you all the best on your musical journey, finding good music (lots of it right here on this forum ) and starting up your brass ensemble. Looking forward to see you around

    Best regards,
    Frederik
