Yeah, happy easter everyone. Remember what the real meaning of easter is as you are in this weekend. It isn't only about the easter eggs, actually the easter eggs really have nothing to do with it except that people love chocolate.

    Cheers
    Gareth.

Happy Easter to all Hello Gareth am I mistaken or were we not all told at school that the rolling of easter eggs was to signify the rolling of the rock from the tomb of Jesus (on the forth day he rose) incidently when I was little long long ago easter eggs were hens eggs hard boiled and painted with faces and colours by all the local children and then taken to the park and rolled down the hill to commemerate the reserection I seem to remember it was a great family day out mind you we did not have computers and all the high tec toys that the younger generation have today and as it was during the war so it was a rare treat to get a hard boiled egg. Hey Sparky.

An easter egg is meant to represent the stone or the empy grave, but these days you have people saying that is all easter is. Back 2000 years ago, they hadn't heard of chocolate easter eggs, so my point is, easter isn't only about easter eggs.

    Cheers

Hi Gareth I do agree with you it would be really nice if the pace of life in the world could slow down a bit and we could get back to some of the real values instead of outright commercialism but I don't think it will ever happen, certainly not in my life time, we are to used to our creature comforts, although that said who knows what will happen when the resources finally run out ( no electric, no gas , no fossil fuels, no mobile phones, no television, no radio, no ghetto blasters, will we all be back to rubbing sticks together to make fire? ) mind you the art of conversation might improve, also musicians, troubadors and thesbians will once again be all the rage. But I will miss it I will be long gone by then Cheers Sparky

Yeah, when I grow up, it will probably be aweful.

Judging musicwise, as the music that some of the teenagers listen today are getting worse and worse, it is going to be hard in the future to see what happens with that.

But I know one thing for sure, Classical music will always be there, and that is a good thing to know.

    Cheers
    Gareth.
