April Surprise Work of the Month

Ok folks, here`s your chance to vote for the composer whose work you would most like to hear! I`ll post a 'surprise' video of a work by the composer with the most votes at the poll`s closing, for us all to view, listen to and discuss.

This month, composers from the Baroque period are featured.
''Music, I feel, should be emotional first and intellectual second.'' - Maurice Ravel
''The greatest education in the world is watching the masters at work.'' - Michael Jackson

Now now, Rune, no influencing the voters.

Btw, even though I can`t prove it, I don`t vote in these polls. Although I want to.

Don't mean to be naughty, Rojo, but there's no way that Sebastian is going to trail on this one

Utoh ... it was a photo finish by Peter & John
    Tying for 2nd were Georgy-boy & Tony

Frank ... well for him the race was either "coupe" or "ran" (that was really bad ... sorry)

So, now what happens ... ?

That was actually not bad, Kh.

So, congrats to our two winners,

    J. S. Bach and Pietro Locatelli

A big thank you to all who voted!

I`ve made an executive decision; we`ll present a work by each of our winners. (Hey, you didn`t think anything less would happen, did you? ) I`ll be back shortly to post the vids. I think you`ll like them...

I`m in a bit of a quandry; there are two performances of this work by Locatelli that I would like to post. So I`ll post them both! (They are videos of the same work.)

The work is entitled Labyrinth. The first video is of Oistrakh, the second is of Szeryng. Which performance do you prefer and why?
