    Ronnie Segev?

Have you guys heard of pianist Ronnie Segev? I can't seem to find any recordings of him online at his web site http://ronniesegev.com/ so if you know of any upcoming performances or any of his recordings, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

    Hi Martinj56 ...

Try his other site: http://ronniesegev.net/ . Doesn't list performances, but has a couple mp3 samples.

BTW, welcome to Magle Int'l Music Forums ... glad to have you aboard, and look forward to seeing you around the boards here.

    Hi Krummhorn and martinj56 -

I'm glad to hear you guys are learning about Ronnie Segev. I've seen him a few times around New York and I think he's a great addition to the New York Classical Scene.

Check out his personal site -
    http://www.ronensegev.com

AND a great site with music is his other site -
    http://www.ronniesegev.net

Let me know what you guys think. I'm a big, big fan of their version of "Summertime."

    Thanks, Allisonthegator,

Being as how you are in NYC, do you know of any upcoming performances or new recordings of his?

    Thanks Allisonthegator and Krummhorn!

I also checked out http://tocmusic.com/, the site for Ten O'Clock Classics, a group that Ronnie Segev founded, that has some awesome audio and video clips. (They didn't work for me yesterday but they do today for some reason...)

Anyway, there's a beautiful rendition of Ronnie Segev playing The Maiden and the Nightingale by Granados.

There's also another site, http://ronensegev.com/, just with more info.

Sadly, I don't know when Ronnie Segev is playing next. I know that he does some small shows alone and also some larger ones with Ten O'Clock Classics. The last time I caught his performance was at Cafe Vivaldi on May 9th - pics:

Check out the Caffe Vivaldi site because they often showcase Ronnie - he's also done gigs at the Cutting Room. Not that I've been to though.

I'm so disappointed I missed that show at Caffe Vivaldi! but thanks for the tip Allisonthegator.

I also found an old clip of Ronnie Segev playing a Gershwin piece and talking on WNYC New York Public Radio back in 2003. Check it out here http://www.wnyc.org/shows/soundcheck...des/2003/11/19

So I unfortunately couldn't make it to the show on the 8th. How was it? http://ronniesegev.com/
