    Pop Clasical Novelty?

    Pavarotti and Elton JOhn are the latest in an occasional jaunt into collaberations between pop/classical.Does it have any value other than commercial?Or can someone name a decent one.

    Anne-Sofie von Otter and Elvis Costello. Their album For the stars is one of my all-time favourites.

    I also very much enjoy Pavarotti's cooperation with U2 as the Paseengers (Miss Serajevo).

    Most of the time though these combinations do not work.
