Very sad news. Pavarotti was a great tenor and his contribution in bringing classical music to a broader audience cannot be overestimated.

    May he rest in peace.

A great loss for the world. He accomplished so very much for opera, and classical music. He will always remain an inspiration to us all.

As once he secretly stated to his wife: Domingo (who is for me the second finest tenor after him) could not even dream of having a voice like his.

I guess the personalities like Luciano Pavarotti belong to eternity somehow ( and I am sure he was aware about it ). It is like living in the same time period with Feodor Shalyapin. So strange to realise somehow, that Lucciano Pavarotti was not only his voice , but a real human being who can die - though his name will, I dare say, will never be forgotten. Thank God for creating a voice of such perfectness, Rest in Peace.

Time ago, a famous Italian movie director said: "There are tenors, and there is Luciano Pavarotti".

I know that a lot of us will miss him. I look at this on a better side.
There will be a new singer in heaven so listen to the angels sing. You
