I have been trying my hand at composing for unaccompanied choir in the jazz idiom - employing melody and harmony based on 7ths, 9ths, 11ths, and 13ths in all their permutations. What a riot of color one gets! Anyone else tried such a constellation? I'm not a composer by any stretch of the imagination but I do like to fire up Finale every once in awhile and get crazy.
