Who knew organists were so helpful! maybe there should be a "Music Wanted" sticky or something. Maybe there is... I haven't really looked... but since its out there... It's Women's History Month and I have a copy of Jan Bender's Procession on St. Theodulph (All Glory Laud and Honor). It's learnable by Palm Sunday. I'd trade it for a copy of the Percy Whitlock "Fanfare" which I used to have but it literally disintergrated. I understand it can be found in a collection called "The Shorter Works of PW" by Dover(?) but I already have most of what is in that collection. I also have the Cortege et Litanie by Dupre which is hands down the most money I have ever paid for a single piece of music. Worth every penny. I'd like to share it. This thread is about French Music after all. I feel I must make amends for requesting Percy Whitlock.

    What a very interesting story.

Sorry, can't help with the music request.

    Hello!
Could you please send me a copy of the Chant Donne?
I'd like to play it, but I couldn't find it even in our State Library in St-Petersburg.

    My e-mail is iravavi@inbox.ru
    Thank you!

There is also a fugue on a theme of Henri Rebeaud which is little known, and a recently published Meditation (Durand)

    Hello
    Thank you Luis Enrique.
I've made a three staffs version of "Chant donné" , I think it's easier to play like this.

Duruflé's Prélude sur I´Introit de I´Épiphanie is included in the "Epiphany" volume of the Augsburg Organ Library.

Have you checked with your regions colleges/universities. Many have music libraries which may contain the score in question. Here in Arizona we have a wonderful Fine Arts Music Library connected with the University of Arizona (Go Cats!!) that I have used over the years.

Usually able to borrow the music for about 3 weeks or so.

The music of Durufle is still copyrighted ... probably up through year 2081 before it might me eligible for public domain. Just because it isn't in print does not remove the copyright protection and laws ... be careful out there ... people and organizations are being zapped big time for copyright violations.
