    Alexandre Desplat

    I just wanted to ask you what you think about this film music composer. Do you like him? Have you ever listened to one of his scores, at least?
    I have recently purchased his The Painted Veil and Syriana scores, and was enchanted by his brilliant and refined style, his superb use of the piano, his melodies full of emotions and heart-tearing feelings.
    Here are two links regarding him:
    (It's his official website, providing sections both in English and French);
    (Unofficial website in English and French as well as the previous one; there are some very nice pix portraying him, plus a video interview).

    I love his music! His last soundtracks are "Lust, Caution" (Ang Lee' movie) and "Ennemi intime" (french movie about Algerian war). These 2 scores are very impressive and beautiful in the continuous of "Painted Veil" and "The Queen". You can listen to these soundtracks at (an online film music station)
    "Girl With A Pearl Earring" (for me his best partition), french movies : "Inquiètudes, Regarde Les Hommes Tomber, Quand J'étais chanteur, 1 Chance Sur 2, Audiard' Films "....
