Hi teddy,
If there is one thing more controversial than "Big Bang Theory" it has to be that of "parallel Universe Theory".
Of course no-one to my knowledge has started on "Time Travel Theory" yet, although the thought that Colin might travel back in time and be responsible for his grandfather's death as a child, would leave a dreadful gap in our Forum's ranks.
Best wishes John
Big Bang? I like the series...
Martin
Sorry Steve,
Are you for or against "Big Bang" ?
John
John, I'm really not sure; I'd have to look into it a little more before I could--hopefully--provide a rational answer. I do believe, however, that we are certainly not the only intelligent form of life which exists in the universe. The crucial point of course is how we--or they--care to define intelligence.
Yeah, the devil's always in the details, isn't it?![]()

This is a non-proven theory, then you can agree or disagree but a theory remains a theory, for sure this theory eliminates God...then many people who believe in God will say this is absurd. I believe in God and I can't say is totallly true nor totally false...Some parts seem true other a bit "too much"...But at my age theories are less important....my theory is that we have to live the present time and enjoy what we can enjoy...sometimes I'm very sad for our civilization, the Chinese taking furs from cats and dogs, war in Afghanistan and other countries, corrupted gouvernments...too much to think other than unproven theories...It is impossible to prove the Big Bang theory, absolutely impossible to prove that is false either. Even here I found mean people...and I'm sad because of that...
Good night, Spakoie notche

All theories are unproven that’s why they are called theories
How does it eliminate God (creator) ??? I say it does not do this
If you want to see how religion copes with the BB theory check this link http://www.allaboutscience.org/big-b...eory-video.htm see how they interpret the theory
до свидания товарищ
A wise man speaks because he has something to say a fool because he has to say something.
Tovarich comes from the communist period...Anyhow..About the video, I confessed I hat to put it very low, my wife was sleeping, but I believe that you always can make a merge of theories...People believing in God (many Americans do) will make the merge...That way they don't seem to be stubborn or outdated...and etc, etc. The origin of the Big Bang theory it is a world WITHOUT God....Now some variations apply..."accomodating" stuff...
Da svidania, moï drug, to you too.
Martin
I believe there is room for religion and science in the same world. i.e. allow that the world was made in seven periods of time instead of seven days. Translations can sometimes cause confusion.

ps. I once had a big bang, but thats another story...........
I have been involved in several UFO investigations through the American/Canadian skeptic organization JREF which I have been a member of for aprox. a decade or so. I do believe there are E.T.'s out there, but I'm not convinced they have made any sort of contact as of yet.
I used to study philosophy of science, and that's why I engaged in the UFO research. Provided we had more than hearsay and at least a few bits of hard evidence to work with tho. Especially one case took my breath away for about 6 months: It was a publication by the Mexican govt., where they claimed to have been taping genuine UFOs through airforce equipment. Well, they were indeed unidentified flying objects, although, after months of research, we could conclude that they were grounded. So it turned into a UGO case (meh).
I talked to the Mexicans, and asked not only for a copy of the full tape, but also the rights to publish it on the internet for all to see. They agreed.
My conclusion became this theorem..
We spent 6 months chasing oilrigs in the Mexican gulf, because as the former chief engineer of FLIR systems inc. (those who made the IR camera in question) told me, then I should take contact to the Danish navy if I wanted to see how to operate the camera used "properly". Oh boy.
That's the most convincing UFO case I have/had ever seen tho, and I'm still not convinced that any sort of contact has been made.
